Sister M. Agnes Gough, 85 years old, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family for 67 years and a resident at the Motherhouse in Fremont, California, entered into rest in Fremont on Friday, July 22, 2011.
Sister Agnes served in the Archdiocese of San Francisco for several years and in the Diocese of San Jose for 44 years as a Religious Education Teacher and a Medical Assistant. In 2008 Sister Agnes moved to Fremont and has been serving in Volunteer Ministry at the Motherhouse.
Sister Agnes is survived by her brother, Walter Gough of Stockton, California; several nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be celebrated at the Motherhouse Chapel of the Sisters of the Holy Family, 159 Washington Blvd., Fremont, California, on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10 am. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma at 2 pm.
