March is nationally recognized as Women’s History Month. Annually, members of the Board of Supervisors recognized women in our community who are courageous leaders improving the quality of life for San Franciscans through a special program organized by our Department. Supervisor Norman Yee has nominated Donna
M.Cahill Executive Director Holy Family Day Home for this recognition and acknowledged Ms. Cahill and her contributions to the community at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 3:30 PM. A brief reception, hosted by the Friends of the Commission, was followed the Board of Supervisors presentation.
The theme for the 2013 Women’s History Month celebration was “Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.” This theme recognized the different aspects of women’s achievements, from the classroom to the executive office, and recognize those who have lead by example and paved the path for others in fields not traditionally held by women.
The Sisters of the Holy Family are proud and happy for Donna M.Cahill the Executive Director Holy Family Day Home! Congratulations!
