A beautiful reflection.
This morning, I sat with a friend at the hospital, first in the waiting room and then in the room where she and 3 other women received their chemo treatment for cancer. This evening, as I sat in chapel praying before supper, the images of the morning filled my prayer.
The waiting room was a busy place, filled with men and women who were there for only one reason. They had cancer and were having treatments or follow-up exams. There were people from many nationalities and all walks of life. Some were elderly, others young and the majority middle-aged. Though, all were sick, it was obvious that some were sicker than others.
